FAQ
Plain answers.
If yours isn’t here, ask it in the audit.
Do I keep my own number?
Yes. Your number stays yours and stays on your trucks. Your office line rings twice as it always has. Only a call nobody picks up forwards to the receptionist, and the caller never dials anything but your number.
Is a person answering?
No. The receptionist is software: an automated voice that answers in your shop’s name, set up with your rules. It is not a person and not a call center. A person on our team checks every call it takes, the same day, and you hear the receptionist in your shop’s name during the audit, before you decide anything.
What happens on an urgent call?
You set the urgent list: no cooling, no heat, water where it shouldn’t be, whatever counts for your shop. On an urgent call the receptionist takes the details first, name, address and the problem, then bridges you in.
What about after hours?
It answers at any hour and books by your after-hours rules: which slots it may book, what counts as urgent, who gets bridged in. The guarantee counts nights and weekends the same as weekdays.
Will it sound like my shop?
It answers in your shop’s name, with your hours, your service area and your rules. You hear it in your shop’s name during the audit, before you decide anything.
What does it book, and where?
The job: the caller’s name, number, address, the problem, and the slot. Into Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan or a Google Calendar you share. Works with has the detail.
What is a minute, and what if I go past 1,000?
A minute is time the receptionist spends on an answered call. 1,000 minutes a month are included. Past that, $0.35 a minute.
Who listens to the calls?
A person on our team reviews every call the same day, to check the job was booked right and your rules were followed.
Calls are recorded so that review can happen. Every caller hears a short recording notice at the start of the call, as Florida law requires, and recordings are kept only as long as the privacy policy says.
How do I cancel?
One email. We’ll ask why, once, so we can fix it.
What if I miss fewer than fifteen calls a month?
Then we don’t sell you the receptionist. The audit reads your real count, and if it is under fifteen we say so and stop there. You keep the numbers.
How long until I’m live?
Inside the week. Your rules, forwarding after two rings on your own line, and your calendar or job software connected.
What does the audit cost?
Nothing. 20 minutes, remote, no card. Your own missed-call count, two timed test calls to your line, and the demo in your shop’s name.
What is the forwarding log?
The record of the calls your line sent on to the receptionist after two rings. Your phone system or carrier keeps it. We find it with you in the audit, and the guarantee is counted against it, so you can check the count yourself.
How is the guarantee counted?
Against your own call log, shown on your monthly page. The guarantee page has the wording and the count.
